After a little hold up, The RLES Society’s own Scolla is back for Week 3 of his weekly series #ScollasWebTour. On this smooth ladies record entitled ”The Jones” Scolla enlists the help of the DMV’s own Phil Ade and Milwuakee’s Gerald Walker to speak on the women’s addiction for these young stars. Produced by fellow Detroit Native, Jerry Parker & Mixed/Co-Produced By Roscoe Wiki.

The “Hood Talk” (Remix) is taken from Blaq Poet’s forthcoming QB Slasher Remix EP which will be available digitally only on 9-6-2011. QB Slasher is following up the demand for more material off of Poet’s critically acclaimed Blaq Poet Society LP. Included on the new EP are four all new remixes enlisting emcee’s Roc Marciano, Wais P, Meyhem Lauren & Blacastan plus the non album cut Freezers featuring Big Noyd and Bloodsport. The EP is rounded out with the full instrumental versions of the original album cuts.

DJWillay here. I moved back up to WA this week and didn’t have access to internet for a few days. I didn’t want to neglect anyone who sent in stuff to us these past few days, so I made a list of all that came in. Its a range from instrumentals, songs, mixtapes and even a short movie, so check them out. A few that stood out upon trying to sift through it all was Shome, an emcee I’ve been following a while and also some dope instrumentals by Jon Armstrong that are heavily inspired by the sounds of NYC. This song is from Hollywood FLOSS, a rapper hailing from Houston, Texas. He is a master of wordplay as evident in this track. He has a new album coming out on September 20th but right now he is releasing some non-album tracks for us fans to enjoy. This one is Attack of Hollywood. The production on this track is from Chris Rockaway who in FLOSS’ own words “is not afraid to push his creative limits.” Talking about this track FLOSS says “I wanted to make a song that played off of my stage name and that has more than one layer. The song takes place in a movie theater, and it puts me inside a story as I tell the story.” Playing off the track’s title, FLOSS uses a lot of wordplay using many famous actors and actress names and movie titles to tell his story.
This track comes to us from Luke Rain, a Seattle local. He released this track just over a week ago as part of his P.O.O.R. Thursday series. Luke has been a guest on Benja’s DA WH@T radio show (90.1 FM Tacoma The Sound) and we’re glad to show you guy’s music. This chilled jazzy track tells us a story of hard times.
This track is from the emcee we have shown love to several time on DA WH@T, Clif Soulo, who comes to us out of Oakland. Clif Soulo has dropped two projects in the last two years (Forever Be Hip-Hop and I Wish These Were My Beats vol. 1). Neither were all original production, but this new album, Pacific Standard Time is. It provides head-rocking beats that boast a feel good West Coast groove with some dope lyrics. “PST represents summertime in California. It represents the rebellious spirit of Oakland.
