Mr. Green continues his ‘Live From The Streets’ series with the second installment of footage gathered from Philly’s 3 Block skate park.  In this episode, Mr. Green assembles all of the audio assets gathered from 3 Block, which includes the verbal testimony of a brutally honest homeless man named Thomas, who talks about the trials and tribulations of his life.  The dialogue is later used as the narrative of the finished product along with a ‘live from the streets’ scratch-outro of an Action Bronson vocal drop…check it out. As the Philly-based producer Small Professor gets set for the release of his debut retail-ready producer compilation Gigantic, Vol. 1, which drops next Tuesday (1/24), the Illadelphian unveils the project’s gemstar, “Spare Razor”.  Featuring one third of Random Axe’s Guilty Simpson and Army of The Pharaoh’s Reef The Lost Cauze, “Spare Razor” is a warning shot to all perpetrators – “Give me that microphone, or get a tight line-up, I’ll knife your dome/ Fade ‘em, I feel it, nothin’ could save ‘em, I get biz, buck ‘em and blaze ‘em.”  Gigantic, Vol. 1 includes features from Von Pea, Buff1, Blueprint, Has-Lo and more…mark your calendars.

The Newark by way of Philly producer dRes shows and proves that his freshman effort has a seasoned sound with his debut release, Wild Produce.  Conceived over a three year period, the self taught beat smith fuses worldly soundscapes over hard drums for a 16 track compilation which features several guest appearances from many of today’s burgeoning and established hip-hop artists. Add-2 debuted his powerful & poignant new video “Cotton Fields” (Directed by Cam Be) on acclaimed hip hop site Okayplayer which caused so much discussion it was trending on Twitter in Chicago. The video not only captivated his fans and other casual viewers but it also caught the attention of Hip Hop Legend and hometown hero Common.

In the song, which will be featured on his upcoming project Save.Our.Souls, Add-2 addresses many issues relating to race & our modern society. The video ends with a controversial scene that most will not soon forget.  Since its release last week the video has reached 12,500+ views, has been featured on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show,The Urban Daily, has received praise from prominent members of The Nation Of Islam including Brother Jesse Muhammad & Brother Abel Muhammad, featured on a mass amount of hip hop sites and blogs including 2dopeboyz, HipHopDX, OnSmash and many more and still continuing to spread.
