dRes- Wild Produce

The Newark by way of Philly producer dRes shows and proves that his freshman effort has a seasoned sound with his debut release, Wild Produce.  Conceived over a three year period, the self taught beat smith fuses worldly soundscapes over hard drums for a 16 track compilation which features several guest appearances from many of today’s burgeoning and established hip-hop artists. Previously only available in digital format, you can now order a copy to add to your CD collection.  To celebrate the re-release, we are giving away the Kev Brown remix to “We Here”, featuring Sabrina Cuie and Donwill of Tanya Morgan.  Previously only available as an iTunes bonus track, this remix produced by Kev Brown is one of three bonus tracks available on the compact disc.

Add-2 – Tale Of Two’s City Volume 4 (Better Days)

UPDATE: I did listen to it. It is great. Overall, an amazing display of lyricism yet again from Add-2. And “The Crown”… I have never listened to that song only one time, I always hit repeat AT LEAST once.

I haven’t listened to it yet, but this is most likely going to be one of my favorite projects this year.  Add-2 has said that this tape will most likely be his last in the Tale of Two’s City series but I have to be appreciative of 4 great tapes. Production from Mydus, Antman Wonder, IIL Meel, Ken B & more along with guest appearances by Von Pea & Donwill of Tanya Morgan.

Da What’s Good Radio – Show 1

For anyone who follows me on Twitter or is my facebook friends, then you may know that I am going to host a radio show for my school’s radio station this semester! It is at midnight (12-1 PST) on Saturday’s, 90.1 FM if you are in the greater Tacoma area but can also be found on KUPS.net.  I hope some readers of the site will get the chance to listen because I will be promoting and playing the same type of music! Anyway, every Sunday I am going to post the songs I played last night in case anyone listening wanted to get that stuff or forgot a name of a track I played.  The comment section is also the perfect place to make requests as I prepare my set for next week!
