New Artist Alert: J. Bre

Posted on October 24, 2010 by

I’ve been meaning to make a few new artists alerts and this one in particular.  J. Bre was even featured on Da What’s Good Radio as an indie artist spotlight a few weeks ago. This is gonna function as a follow up to the radio spotlight and a New Artist Alert.  Hailing from Seattle, J. Bre has already released 3 full projects in a relatively quick span.  It is very impressive to hear his development and you can hear him really stepping his pen game up with each new release.  On his most recent album Street Signs, the tracklist boasts only 4 features – including Seattle rapper Grynch and Havoc of Mobb Deep – the listener really gets a feel for J. Bre.  The production on the album fits his style, a good listen overall.  Hit the jump for an artist bio, videos, download links to his new album Street Signs and older mixtapes More Than Music and Renaissance.

“J.Bre, a 22-year-old hip-hop artist from Seattle, WA, first burst onto the music scene with his mixtape releases of “Renaissance”in Summer 2008 and “More Than Music”in Spring 2009, attracting fans from all around the globe and gaining national radio play. After spending about one and a half years writing and recording his independently released debut album called “Street Signs,”J.Bre is looking forward to the next chapter of his career starting with the release of his first album on September 18th, 2010.

In the few years that J.Bre has been creating music, he has already gained a significant fan base in the Northwest region. J.Bre’s music is known for his signature lyrical style with intricate rhyme schemes and creative wordplay. He doesn’t limit himself to one style of production and enjoys using different styles of music to accompany his lyrics.”
