Five Steez – Slaving on the Plantation [Video]

After his great-read ‘Da’ What is Hip Hip? article, Five Steez is back with a new video!

The music video, directed by The Board, shows the drudgery experienced by the average worker. Five Steez – in character as an employee – is seen waking in the morning and making his way to his office to work with a demanding boss.

Five Steez says that the song, produced by Inztinkz, is based mostly on his personal experiences. “I never realized how much it meant to people until I first performed it in 2010 long before the release of the album, and since then, I’ve always done it,” he says. “It transcends all barriers, including age and genre.”

Far from being the typical single, ‘Slaving on the Plantation’ is one of the standout album cuts on the Five Steez debut. “People have always requested a music video for this song and I’m excited to finally present it,” he says. “I hope they enjoy it, and I hope that it resonates with them just as much as the song does.
