What can I say about Lauryn Hill?  One of the stronger voices of her generation, one of the best emcee’s of all time, 1/3 of the Fugees and creator of one of best albums ever.  Her body of work is somewhat limited between The Mis-education of Lauryn Hill and The Fugees’ Blunted on Reality and The Score but the quality of those pieces more than make up for it.  The Mis-education of Lauryn Hill and The Score are extremely well acclaimed and their music holds up as well today as it did in the 90s.

Hill’s ability to sing beautiful songs like “Killing Me Softly” and viciously attack the mic on the likes of “Zealots” helped set her apart from anyone that had come before. Since her quick rise to stardom, Hill has had some trouble holding the spotlight and has shied away in recent years.  No doubt the birth of her 6 children has led her to take a step back from the life of a superstar and focus more on family.  However, she continues to tour and spread her music via new and exciting ways.
