Kidd Upstairs – Pockets [Video]

The fourth visual off of DMNDS: Deluxe Edition provides an up-close look into the hazy mind of Kidd Upstairs, the Los Angeles based emcee/producer that has been making waves with his latest album, being compared to the likes of Curren$y and Alchemist.
The self-produced “Pockets” touches on a subject everyone can relate to: the concept of tucking your valuables close (in pockets) as you travel through life’s journey, trying to navigate your way home after a long night without losing what’s important.
The video, directed by Michael Parades, is an allusion to Kidd searching for something that doesn’t necessarily exist (hence him questioning who and what is “real” in the video); the perfect home, the place we are all journeying to…the only thing that is promised, which is our inevitable death.
