Mistah Fab has withstood every fad that has come and gone but still remains relevant today as a musician and mentor. Since his first studio album came out in 2003, he has released 6 more, headed a lot of compilations and almost too many mixtapes to count. He has worked hard to bridge the gap between the newer guys and the OGs by working together on music, touring and including them in other opportunities.  His last album was 2013’s Da Bac Of Da Bus Rydah but he is definitely most known for his free styling ability.  Up top and below, catch a couple of his more recent, ridiculous off-top freestyles.

Erk tha Jerk is one of my personal favorite emcees in the Bay.  He has been relatively quiet since his commercial peak a few years ago but his ability to craft complete songs and his musicality is always impressive.  His most recent effort is the 10-track collaborative EP with producer Fly Commons called Junk Food and Vegetables that is definitely worth your time.  Get Do not miss out on Richmond native Erk Tha Jerk nor J. Stallin.

Opening things up is J. Stallin, CEO of Livewire Records.  Like the other Bay rappers above, J. Stallin is incredibly prolific with 23 complete projects in a little over a decade.  He is the hardest of this group and can rap his ass off.
