Butterscotch – All Blues (Miles Davis Tribute) [Video]

I fell in love with the Miles Davis album, “Kind of Blue,” my first year at Sacramento State. I was the new kid on the block in the music program, and enjoyed hanging around all the jazz students (the coolest ones on campus of course!). I joined one of the vocal jazz groups, as well as one of the big bands, and was surrounded by phenomenal music ALL THE TIME. I had always liked jazz, and enjoyed listening to it with my grandparents, but I really sunk my teeth into it in college… I was the Jazz-Jam-Master-Scotch, beatboxing my way through school, and then left early to pursue my music career full time.

“All Blues” is one of my favorite tracks on the album because it’s a different interpretation of your common “Blues.” It features Bill Evans, one of my favorite pianists, who always adds a different coloring to the sound spectrum of the musical rainbow.
