‘Melanina’ is for “The Women.” It’s for the royalty, ethnicity, kinky curls and creative flow. Infusing popular sound with culture, the purpose of ‘Melanina’ is to recognize, encourage, promote respect, and rejoice in the beauty and magic of women of color.  This EP is vibrant, colorful, inspirational and full of melodic sounds. Producer, Troy Sylvia created ‘Melanina’ because he felt there was a need for dance records that empower women of color, rather than demean or objectify them. This was created to inspire others to respect women.
