In this Freestyle Friday episode, the band poses a unique challenge for MC Martin by sampling from the musically diverse grooves of hip-hop, funk, and neo-soul. They even pay tribute to legend Stevie Wonder by playing an instrumental cover of “Superstition”. MC Martin and the Harmonious Monks set themselves apart from the rest by “flawlessly transitioning” between these eclectic beats with an authenticity that can only be created with a creative rapper and tight band.
